The Weight of Unspoken Words

In the spaces we leave unsaid

Lives the ache of words we feared to say

The whispers we swallowed, the truths we delayed

Echoes in our space, where love is played

The things we meant to say, the love we didn't show

The moments we hesitated, and let the chance go

They linger like shadows, in the light of what's past

Reminding us of touch, that never came to stay at last

In the silence between us, I search for a sound

A whisper, a sigh, a heartbeat – something to turn around

For in the unspoken, lies a universe of pain

And in the words we find, lies the love we sought in vain

To speak the truth, to voice the deep

Is to risk the waves, but also to let love leap

For in the telling, we might find a way

To unravel the weight, and let love have its say.
