The Unseen Sunset
In the calm of the night's dark shade
We dream of days we'll never trade
The stars align, the hours play
We think we'll live, in endless sway
But night turns swift, to morning's blaze
Another day dawns, in borrowed rays
We take for granted, the time we breathe
Thinking tomorrow's promise, is a debt we'll leave
Time slips away, like grains in sand
We chase the future, with a restless hand
We clive for things, we think we'll own
But in the end, they slip away, like dawn to dawn
Then comes the moment, the final breath
We realize too late, life's slipping death
All that we fought for, all that we knew
Means nothing now, as our moments flew
The wealth, the fame, the pride, the name
Ashes in the wind, with no one to claim
In the fading light, we grasp for more
But it's gone, the time we thought we'd store
In the unseen sunset, we're left with sighs
Echoes of what could've been, in wasted skies
Let the days be more than just a haze
For in each breath, a life is lived, in endless praise.
Quote:
We spend the days we think we have, but the moments we don't grasp are the ones we lose.
