The Gallery of Years
Tonight, we stand at the edge of time
A threshold of years, a pause to rhyme
The old year whispers secrets in our ear
Of moments lived, of dreams we held dear
We flip through pages, worn and torn
A gallery of years, where memories are born
Faces we loved, places we've been
Echoes of laughter, whispers within
The snapshots of joy, the tears we've cried
The triumphs and trials, side by side
We recall the moments, we chose to stay
The love we shared, in sunlit days
In the dimming light, shadows play
Reminding us of what's slipped away
Gifts we took for granted, time we wasted too
But in the heart's archive, the best we knew
The old year folds like a storybook
Leaving us with lessons, and love we took
Let go the what-ifs, let go the pain
For in the memories, love remains.
Here's to the old year, and the new ahead
May we fill it with love, and moments we won't dread.
Quote
In the shadows of time, the memories we cherish are the lights we leave behind.
