The Time Paradox
Some dwell in the past, where memories reside
Regretting what's lost, and what could not be tried
They're trapped in the haze, of what used to be
Missing the present, and the future's destiny
Others live for the future, with dreams in their eyes
Planning and scheming, with hopes that never die
But in their pursuit, they forget to live today
And miss the beauty, that's unfolding along the way
Meanwhile, the present whispers, "Live in the now"
Embracing each moment, with a gentle vow
To cherish the fleeting, and let go of the past
And welcome the unknown, with a heart that's vast
But life is uncertain, and time is a thief
Stealing moments, and leaving us with grief
We realize too late, the importance of the present tense
And the weight of regrets, that our hearts must dispense
"If only I had," and "I could have been"
Echoes of what could've been, a bittersweet refrain
The questions we ask, in the silence of night
Haunt us with possibilities, and the choices we didn't ignite
So let's not get lost, in the labyrinth of time
Let's live in the moment, and make it sublime
For in the present, we find our truest self
And the future's promise, is a gift to unfold and wealth.
