A Solitary Sorrow
She needed space, a moment's peace
A chance to breathe, to let her heart release
The weight of grief, the pain she'd bear
But they couldn't understand, with love beyond compare
She needed to grieve, in her own way
To find solace in the darkness of each day
But they never took the time to see
The depths of her sorrow, the complexity
They'd offer words, a gentle hand
But she needed silence, a quiet stand
A chance to process, to heal and mend
Without the pressure, the expectations to amend
She yearned for understanding, a gentle ear
A space to grieve, without a speck of fear
But it was hard, to find her place
In a world that moved, with a different pace
So she'd step away, into the night
And let her tears, fall like the light
For in the solitude, she'd find her way
Through the darkness, to a brand new day.
