Where the Quiet Lives

Where the Quiet Lives

In the hush between two heartbeats,

I find you—

not in thunder,

not in flame,

but in the gentle breath

that steadies my own.

Love does not clamor for witness,

nor demand applause;

it rests in the quiet corners,

where your hand fits mine

without question,

without need.

It is the pause in conversation

that feels complete,

the silence that sings

because you are near.

And in that stillness,

I learn—

the purest love is not loud,

but eternal,

dwelling softly

where the quiet lives.

Quote

The truest love is not loud—it lingers softly in the spaces where silence feels like home.
